Could have been a 5. We ate here twice this week. Sunday was great. Had the broccoli Rabe with sausage. Sausage is home made nice size portion. Wife had wedding soup they served with saltine crackers! In an Italian Resturant!!! Had a wood fired pizza was one of the best I ever had. Service was great. I would come back. Well we came back on Tuesday. Had to get more of those homemade sausages. Well..,, the portion was 1/2 the size and they were cold . We also ordered a meatball parm sub. Came out steaming looked good. Took a bite and the meatballs were cold. Tasted good but cold. Waitress came back to ask how everything was, we told her the meatballs were cold. She said she would tell them. Five minutes later she came back and just handed us the check. Good food but inconsistent. Very poor customer service.

Awesome Pizza! Their Sauce is so yummy.... I could just drink it. They also offer a yummy Gluten free Pizza. The ambiance and service is great too! They are very accommodating to special requests! Definitely a place to check out in New Smyrna!

Many decades ago I worked at a bank for a summer in Naples, Italy, and after work and on weekends hung out with a group of locals in their 20s. We went to many authentic pizza places. About the same time I regularly had pizza at Pepes and The Spot in New Haven. So I know what the real deal is when it comes to pizza. I resisted going to Baci because of all the mediocre "Greek" pizza in the Daytona-New Smyrna area, but on a busy Sunday night my wife dragged me there. The basic pizza, the 12 inch Margarita, which is made with a thin crust, olive oil, tomato sauce, cheese and basil and cooked in a wood fired oven, was a revelation, taking me right back to Naples! The service was excellent and the house salad and Pinot Noir wine were very good. The decor is basic as it should be in a pizza joint. My only complaint is the blaring nonsensical music in the background. If you are going to drown the customer in noise it could be at least Italian opera or O Sole Mio or some other Italian stuff. I am told other menu items are good but I doubt I will ever experience anything there beyond the pizza Margarita, which in this time and place is enough of a miracle for me. After more visits, it is very clear the service is the usual tourist haphazard mess, the restaurant is a cacophany of howling, braying clods, the decor is some deranged Italian American bad taste, cleanliness is poor, the barmaids are asleep, BUT THE PIZZA is still good.

Had the arugula salad and oven pizza. It was good. Pizza was surprisingly thin but tasted good and salad was decent. The service was good and owner stopped by to be sure all was well. I would eat here again as long as I wasn't famished.

For our lunch we had a basil pizza & an appetizer of bruschetta. Both were absolutely amazing, such unique and delicious flavor. decor was nice and didn't feel stuffy, as other restaurants are

Had delicious mushroom crostini appetizer and pizza was excellent too, along with great service and hometown atmosphere. 4 stars as opposed to 5 due to prices a bit high, I thought, for pizzas.

I'm going to rate this place leniently, as I know it's brand new. The overall experience was not bad, but there are definitely things they can and should improve upon. Upon arrival, our party of five was quickly seated by a pleasant host. We sat down, and it became apparent that service is quite inefficient, and that the servers are fairly inexperienced. There were a lot of them, but they were mostly milling around, aimlessly lost. They were nice and all, but attentive they were not. We ordered some beers, which were very cheap, (yay!), but the server then informed us that they only have bottled beer, and then that they don't have any glasses to serve the beer in. I thought this was odd, but maybe it's just because they're new? Idk, but that is a faux-pas. Pizza! The pizzas were half delicious sounding, and half weird. Hot dog pizza? Idk. Maybe you have to try it, but I wasn't that brave. We had a Margherita and a Prosciutto and Arugula, and both were very good. They were also quite expensive, which is a feature I don't much care for. At $4 for an import beer, they could raise it to $6 and dampen the punishing blow from their expensive pizzas. It was about $45 without the tip for a large pizza, a small pizza, and three beers. This was barely enough food for the five of us. However, the quality of the food was high, and the servers were putting their best foot forward. I will probably return to Baci and give them another try. It's worth a shot, and the ambience is pretty nice.

They got me hook, line and sinker! Seriously great food. Everything is fresh. Wood oven. Broccoli rabe. The house Chianti for $5 was delicious. Service was excellent too. We sat at the bar with Carmine, one of the owners. Awesome guy. Made some Italian long hot peppers for us. Really made us feel at home. We also met the other owner Anthony. Super nice guy who's been cooking all his life. Sicilian. Really knows food. I'll be back with my ma. Manga!

Had a lovely night, atmosphere was relaxing. I had Pasta Ala Vodka and my husband had wings ( don't ask why)... We also had loaded waffle fries, very good. Wings were spicy and wet, so just ok. Pasta was very good but when I asked for extra sauce they gave me extra red sauce I wanted vodka sauce. We will return to try the pizza.

I am giving Baci an average rating. I have been to Baci twice, both for lunch, the first time was several weeks ago and the pizza was excellent, the salads were fresh and delicious. Service was very good. Yesterday we visited again and it was not so good. There was a large party which may have contributed to the issue. The Calamari came out burned and hard as a rock, it was sent back and came back out acceptable. Not great but acceptable. The Chicken Ciabiatta sandwich was on more of a sub roll than ciabatta bread, a soggy sub roll at that. The chicken was very tasty although cold. Because the first visit was so good I will go with 3 stars instead of 1. I am not sure we will go back as there are Italian and pizza places in town that are always good.

You may ask yourself how can one go from "Unfortunately very disappointing food experience can't recommend...." Yes that's my first tip posted several months ago all the way to a four star review. I don't think my tip was reactive I feel I gave a very fair evaluation based on our first experience here. Whether you attribute that opinion to the newness of the restaurant, the unorganized service, experimenting of the menu by the owner, or bad choices by me I stand by it that was a snap shot at the time. But in a attempt to validate my opinion and in the name of fairness we chose to return in part because I know it's not unusual for a new start-up to struggle and after driving by many times it was apparent by the number of customers in the off season this place had gathered itself up and is winning over the locals which is no easy task in NSB. We arrived around 8:00 PM the parking lot was mostly full but once inside it was "seat yourself" and no waiting and there were several tables open along the front window. We were immediately greeted by our server Chris he was very inviting and has a great personality and proved to be very attentive. The menu is filled with a wide selection of Italian fare so the choice is not an easy one. We decided to start with 10 wings with teriyaki sauce on the side, done crispy, they arrive perfectly cook crispy, crunchy and still moist inside they were nothing less than amazing and I feel they stand up against any in the area. As an entree we chose a 12" "wood-fired" pizza, it came out piping hot topped with plenty of our favorite toppings sitting on a perfectly executed thin crust. Table side you'll find a great selection of seasonings including - red pepper flakes, garlic powder, Italian dried seasoning - salt / pepper and dried Parmesan cheese in a shaker. Needless to say it was more food than we could consume so we had it boxed up to enjoy later. I feel with all the Italian restaurants and pizza restaurants in the area this place has joined the ranks closer to the top than most, of course we will return.....often

This place was ok. Just ok. Disappointing because I really wanted to like it but can't say that. Bruschetta was too vinegary. Meatball appetizer was way overpriced and tough. I am not sure how you make a meatball tough but they accomplished it. Pizza was just so-so. Much better tasting food just 1/2 mile away at Tiano's, and at a much better price. Ok, it beats Stavros. That's not saying much. But, I am not about to sing the praises of an overpriced, underperforming restaurant.

The Margarita Pizza is GREAT! It's a small place doing things very well, wood fired pizza that I'd put up against anybody's. Fresh ingredients and clean! Calzones are huge and very good as well. You won't be disappointed

Italian nachos, and antipasta plate superb! Top it with a canoli. so good! Definitely will be going more than once a week! So many choices!

We went with a group of 7 and a few in the group said very good pizza for the area, they enjoyed it. I felt the maragrita pizza was wet and saugy. I enjoy it crispy. The Caesar salad was very bland, the brushetta was bland except the balsamic is all you tasted, caprese salad was small portions and ive had better, the broccoli robe was delicious!!! I will be doing that at home. Over all...so so. I'll give the pizza another shot to go sometime and see how it is. Areas to improve. Service was ok

Worst experience ever!!! Ordered a dozen garlic knots and a pepperoni pizza with drinks... Over an hour later still no food.. Waitress didn't check that food was not sent to table and when asked where the food was ( at this pint of time 1 hr waiting) the waitress comes back after checking and says.. The food was given to someone else who came in 45 min after us. We are locals in the area and do not plan on giving this establishment another try.. Very poor service.

Delicious! We had a pepperoni pizza and to die for canola for dessert. We will be back.

We were pleasantly surprised. We has a spinach and veggie white pizza with gorgonzola. I love a wood fired pizza. The crest was both crispy and tender. We will definitely be back. My only digestion would be for them to offer feta as a topping , That is our favorite on a white pizza. We will definitely be back.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
